RANGERS

YOUTH OCEAN WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

AQUA

Aqua Rangers creates opportunities for young people to connect with the ocean, build confidence, develop practical skills, and begin seeing themselves as part of Grenada’s marine future. Through ocean education, mentorship, diving pathways, conservation experiences, scholarship support, and community engagement, the program helps youth and students move from awareness to action.

BLUE ECONOMY JOBS
SECURED IN UNDER

Aqua Rangers is not only creating awareness — it is helping young people gain the experience, confidence, mentorship, and access needed to move into real opportunities across the wider OECS. Graduates have gone on to secure jobs in marine, tourism, conservation, and other Blue Economy sectors throughout the region, demonstrating the program’s growing impact beyond Grenada.

SUPPORTING STUDENTS
FROM CLASSROOM TO COASTLINE

Many Aqua Rangers are enrolled in the Marine, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology four-year program at St. George’s University, where classroom theory is paired with hands-on, practical field training.

For students completing capstone projects, the financial and logistical burden can be significant. Boat transportation, scuba equipment, field access, monitoring support, and project-related logistics often require resources that students would otherwise need to fund themselves.

Through the Aqua Rangers Scholarship Program, students gain access to boats, scuba equipment, mentorship, and field support that help make these projects more achievable. This allows students to focus less on financial barriers and more on building the practical experience needed to contribute to marine conservation and the Blue Economy.

MORE THAN OCEAN
AWARNESS

Grenada’s future is deeply connected to the health of its marine environment. Yet many young people grow up surrounded by the ocean without clear access to the training, mentorship, equipment, transportation, and field opportunities needed to participate in marine conservation or the growing Blue Economy.

Aqua Rangers exists to close that gap.

The program helps young people build a real relationship with the ocean while developing the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to protect it. By creating access to ocean education, conservation experiences, field training, and professional pathways, Aqua Rangers helps youth and students see the ocean not only as something to enjoy, but as something they can help care for, study, and build a future around.

THE FUTURE OF OCEAN CONSERVATION STARTS WITH ACCESS

When young people are given the chance to understand the ocean, experience is safely, and see a future connected to it, conservation becomes personal.

Aqua Rangers helps build that bridge — from curiosity to confidence from awareness to access, and from today's youth to tomorrow's ocean leaders.
